Here's to great guests

Thanks to great weather early this year. We have had guests from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Brazil, Australia, USA. Our Latest Guests were from the UK and US and were on a month long tour across Canada. They were obviously good friends and we could see why and were infact blogging their travels. The two days spent at the Algonquin Inn were spent hiking the trails in Algonquin Park, fishing, Kayaking on Oxtongue Lake and learning as much as they could about the area and the goings on in Huntsville. They had a great time and we are glad that we had the privalige to meet them.

Spring Moose 2010

Went for a drive through the park on Hwy 60 and on the way back, was happy to see this guy standing by the roadside, quietly chewing on branches. He was in no hurry and not at all shy. It was a great opportunity to get some really super photos.

DHW heating system provides a five
year payback and potential annual
savings in excess of $3 600 per year.
Algonquin Lakeside Inn will save
energy on hot water heating all
summer long and use the thermal
power in the winter for space
heating.
The solar system will contribute 50‐
70% of the total energy required to
heat the water for the Inn.
The system consists of 360 evacuated
tubes with 60 sq meters of shading to
reduce cooling demand.
